Situated atop a seemingly infinite stretch of beach in breathtaking Da Nang, The Nam Hai Hoi An is Vietnam's premier luxury retreat. Striking accommodations in this all-villa resort line the beachfront, where the rhythmic lapping of the South China Sea meets the soft talcum shore. Drawing inspiration from the feng shui philosophies of wind and water, The Nam Hai Hoi An embraces the region's 2,500 years of history, creating a space that is at once classic and contemporary. Nestled under the shade of tall palms, villas range from intimate with one bedroom to palatial with room for up to 15. Each space is a personal paradise, designed with a calming palette of neutral cream, brown, and cool ebony hues. Plush furnishings are simple yet sophisticated, with rooms instead emphasizing the immense natural beauty of the area through abundant floor-to-ceiling windows and an expansive, furnished veranda facing the water. Get lost in the bespoke quality of luxury at The Nam Hai Hoi An.

What a hotel really makes great is its staff. At this resort all staff members deliver an outstanding service and a genuine attitude. They don't just provide an excellent service, they interact and they show interest and they really care. I have stayed at many other FS properties, fabulous resorts and hotels around the world. This was among the best! The villas are beautiful and spacious. They are very well maintained, despite showing their age in some areas. The centre part behind the bed is quite odd and would probably to be designed the same way nowadays. However, all other areas of the villa are top notch and very tastefully designed. There are three main restaurants, serving various Asian food (Vietnamese, Indian, Japanese). The only downside here is, that there is no Western food menu available. Of course, they offer you the all-day in-room dining menu and you can have all of it in one of their restaurants. I would highly recommend to add a proper Western menu to the fabulous other menus available. I had a very professional spa treatment (facial and foot massage) by Cherie. The layout and location of the spa is beautiful. The guest relations manager Marco is very caring and attentive, I felt very welcome from the first moment. Don't hesitate to book this resort. You won't regret it!

Four Seasons Resort Hoi An is an unforgettable experience. The staff is incredibly attentive—they greet you by name and somehow know your preferences before you even say a word. The resort is spread over a large area, so each villa comes with bicycles. Since I don’t ride, they provided a buggy instantly whenever I needed to get around. My villa was quite far from the main areas, but the transport service was always prompt and friendly. The weather was perfect during my stay, and the poolside service was excellent. The villa itself was magical—elegant, peaceful, and beautifully designed. The outdoor shower area with a serene Buddha statue made it feel like a private sanctuary. I felt like royalty the entire time. If you’re visiting Vietnam and need a few days of true relaxation, I highly recommend this resort.

I’ve stayed at some of the best hotels around the world, but this property was a total disappointment. If you’re okay with sharing your room with lizards and cockroaches, then this might be the place for you—because we found both in our villa. The staff is clearly untrained and lacks basic hospitality etiquette. We stayed for four nights; the first three were manageable, but the last night was a disaster. The power in our villa went out completely, and after nearly an hour of back and forth with their engineering team, we were told at 12:30 AM that we would have to shift to a new villa. Fine—we packed up and moved. But once we got to the new villa, no one came to help us settle in. No courtesy call, no assistance, not even an apology from the manager. It was like our inconvenience didn’t matter. Service was below average, and language barriers only made things worse. I wouldn’t recommend this hotel if you’re looking for even basic levels of comfort or professionalism.

We had an amazing 4-night stay in two huge one-bedroom villas with a spacious shared living room, a private pool, and stunning views of the sand and sea. Falling asleep to the sound of the waves from our patio was incredibly soothing and made the whole experience even more relaxing. Breakfast was exactly what you’d expect at the Four Seasons—plenty of variety, super fresh ingredients, and everything done to the highest standards. One of the highlights of any trip to Asia for us is the fruit, and this time was no exception—the selection of fresh, hard-to-find tropical fruits was amazing. There were just enough complimentary activities to keep us entertained without feeling overscheduled. Tea ceremony meditation, singing bowl meditation, crispy roll making, and coffee tasting to mention a few. As a professed pickleball addict, I was happy to see that there are two well-maintained courts. We also used the gym several times which was truly first-rate—spacious, clean, fully equipped and well maintained. It even had a separate room dedicated to TRX and kettlebells. The location was perfect—close enough to town (10 min) by shuttle or taxi but far enough from the tourist crowds for peace and privacy. My husband had a minor accident—he tripped and twisted his ankle (not the hotel’s fault)—and the staff rushed right over to help. A nurse onsite at the hotel came over immediately and continued to check on him in the following days to ensure he was doing well. Huge thanks to our gracious and attentive butler, An - and Annie— both of whom took such great care of us and made sure everything was flawless!

We stayed for 6 days at the Nam Hai late March. Arriving from Amansara, we found the level of service to be a bit underwhelming but our issues got promptly fixed by management, which was present, kind and responsive to our concerns. The Four Seasons Nam Hai is a perfect place to relax. They have three large pools including an Olympic one. The resort sits on a large, clean beach. It is generally very quiet so it is easy to relax. The resort is large and guests are provided with bicycles to get from one point to another. They can also call buggies that will take them wherever they want. You never feel that there are a lot of people in the resort. For example there are always many loungers available at the beach or at the pools. We found the restaurants to offer high quality food, higher than in most of the Four Seasons we had stayed at in the US, Asia or Europe. We were in fact quite impressed with the quality of the food at the tasting menu of the Indian restaurant. The Vietnamese restaurant is also very good and, having a French chef, offers revisited Vietnamese food. We had a great dinner organized around tasting all the Vietnamese street food from the North to the South. In general we found the staff at the restaurants to be the best of the hotel. We did a few massages at the spa. The rooms and therapists were up to the level of the property. The rooms are large and confortable. We were in a newly renovated beach villa. I would recommend staying in a beach villa. They offer not only expansive views of the ocean but also more privacy. Overall we had a great stay at this property, which must be among the very best beach resorts in Asia.
