An absolutely spectacular experience at intercontinental thalasso spa Bora Bora. We got an upgrade to a overwater villa with our own infinity pool. I highly recommend joining IHG rewards. It is totally worth it. The staff were fantastic throughout the resort. I recommend the resort and the scenery was spectacular.

My husband and I stayed at the Intercontinental Bora Bora Resort Thalasso Spa for our 20th anniversary trip this year. We spent 6 glorious nights in our overwater villa and loved every single moment. Upon arrival at the airport when we received our flower lei, and then we were given a great water bottle by the resort and taken to the boat shuttle - the wonderful customer service began. We never had one interaction with a resort staff member that was not to our liking. Everyone is so friendly and willing to help. Check-in was easy and we were whisked away to our overwater villa. I was so impressed with the villa! When you look online at photos, you always underestimate because photos can make things more than what they truly are, but this was not the case. The villas are spacious and immaculate. We had a pool villa and the pool was perfect and larger than expected. Throughout the week, the housekeeping staff kept us tidy and left us inspirational messages on our mirror. We were grateful. We enjoyed the beach, taking pictures with the Instagram-famous swing in front of Mt. Otemanu, and the drink/snack service while at the beach. Another day we spent by the pool and enjoyed the same service. The poolboy hut has SPF50 sunscreen available and cool, citrus water to enjoy. We had a couple of lunches at the Sands, but also enjoyed a lunch or two at our villa while we spent the day relaxing in our plunge pool and the lagoon water. We snorkeled in the lagoon and floated in the blissfully warm and luxuriously blue water. When we had room service delivered, they always set the table so nicely and picked up the dish tray promptly after. Our room's mini-bar was stocked daily with sparkling water, softdrinks and juice. Two bottles of the resorts water were always left for us to enjoy. Their water is some of the best I have ever had! They have their own filtration system and it is delicious, as far as water goes! In the evening, we enjoyed our happy hour at Bubbles with Evanui, and then usually had dinner where there was a show. We enjoyed dinner at the Reef with the Polynesian show one night and then at the Sands for the fire show another. Breakfast was always at the Reef where we were treated very well and loved the buffet. There was plenty of choice and an omelette bar. Try the tiare jam - so good! Our stay was memorable and luxurious and we highly recommend this resort. It was the perfect 20th anniversary trip. The only downside had nothing to do with the resort - Westjet lost my luggage, so I had 5 days with no luggage. (grateful that I packed a little bit of my stuff in my husband's suitcase and my carry on). I will say, when it did arrive, they delivered it to my villa and the ONE night I had a dress to wear to dinner, we walked out of our villa and Emma was driving by and she offered to take photos of us, and since it was my only night with a dress, once we got to the beach, she made sure we did sunset photos with Mt. Otemanu as well. Thank you Emma!

Dreamy location. Best of all bora bora in my opinion as facing directly mount otemanu. Super clean premises spread out with lovely planting and gorgeous overwater bungalows .with enough privavy in between. We splurged on a villa teremoana with pool and direct view otemanu and it was so worth it. Impeccably clean not a speck of dust very tasteful furnishings high ceilung we never wanted to leave. Most wonderful stay with most wondetful staff. Rarely we felt so welcome and cherished in a hotel and we travel a lot. Paul from guest relations went above and beyond to make our stay easy and as memorable as possible. Lovely spa with rooms on stilts to watch the lagoon while having a massage is always a highlight when we go. Housekeeping. Room service all the staff really made this experience so heavenly and we will hopefully come back.soon and stay longer

We have been to the IHG before and almost did not go again as we thought it might not be as nice as last time but we were so wrong. It was even better! Bora Bora in itself as a natural paradise but the Intercontinental makes it a living dream, a true heaven on earth . We splurged with a villa teremoana facing mount otemanu and it felt magical every second . Instantly relaxed and happy . we basically did nothing all day but gaze at the mount and swam in our pool and lagoon. The villa teremona is so spectacular , amazingly furnished and super quiet . We never wanted to leave. It has one of the largest ( or the largest private pool as well ) There is also an amazing spa with blissfull treatments and a nice gym . The hotel is quiet and has big grounds and you hardly see people around which makes the relaxation even better . We got super spoiled by the wonderful staff especially Paul from guest relations who basically checked in with us daily, made every wish possible and nothing was too much. It would not have been the same without him and we truly appreciate his kindness and I am sure he will have a great future. Emma and Capucine were lovely as well as were all the lovely housekeeping staff and room service people. We felt so welcome and spoiled and never have experienced exceptional customer service with such loving people. Our ambassador status was clearly valued as well and honestly we could not fault a thing and the only bad thing was having to leave and next time we will stay much longer ( or move in ? :-)) As wonderful as Bora Bora and the hotel are, the wonderful staff makes it truly exceptional . If you have a chance to go, go . Do not hesitate, THe intercontinental is the most wonderful hotel on the island.

We had such a great experience at the Intercontinental Bora Bora Resort. Our OWB was great and met our high expectations. The water, the views and the accommodations were amazing. We loved the staff, they were all so friendly, happy and accommodating. There were so many that were helpful and I wish I could remember each of their names. Specifically, some that I can remember their names that provided exceptional service were Paul, Clement, Vero, Zoe, Leilani, and Teri. We can't wait until we can return to the Intercontinental Bora Bora Resort.
